Operations Engineering Manager sought by Borrego Solar Systems, Inc. in Lowell, MA 40 hrs./wk. (Monday to Friday, 8-am-5pm, hours may fluctuate depending on workload) Duties: Work with the development team to understand the scope and needs of the client. Work with the project management team in the development of construction level drawings that will be used by a subcontracted workforce. Train staff and improvement in reference materials in a continuous improvement environment. Manage the design of projects according to Borrego Design Standards. Complete review process for each job through milestone drawing releases. Release and correct DWF sets of plans. Manage the design with an understanding of the functionality of the Borrego Design Tools. Development of infrastructure. Construction administration, as needed, with questions that arise on site. Work with and advise the PMs, and PEs with respect to design/field considerations. Manage direct reports, including workload and performance management. This position oversees the performance management of seven (7) Design Engineers. Candidate will be eligible to participate in company’s 401k plan and company benefits program. Requires: (Primary) Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Power Engineering. 2 years' experience as a designer on design/build projects in the Engineering/Construction industry. Knowledge of PV system design. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and MS Project. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarly with Salesforce. (Alternate)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Power Engineering. 5 years' experience as a designer on design/build projects in the Engineering/Construction industry. Knowledge of PV system design. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and MS Project. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarly with Salesforce. Offered Salary: $134,014.00/yr.
