Gerald Celente is interviewed on Engineer.net and offers valuable advise for engineering job seekers, like this gem:

" if you are only going to think like an engineer.. you are only looking at the world through the eyes of your profession.. you are missing everything that's going out on in the periphery that is directly affecting you.. You need to take a global view of issues and events.".. "Opportunity misses those who only view the world through the eyes of their profession."

    Part 1:

    Part 2:

Gerald Celente is the founder and director of the Trends Research Institute and is a well known and respected trends researcher. He has an admirable record of seeing the future directions of human society, economics and technology, and has provided services to many of the largest global firms. He is frequently seen on the major networks and online, in this interview he offers engineers his view on engineering jobs and opportunity in in today's economy.

Gerald Celente is the editor of the Trends Journal, and is author of Trend Tracking: The System to Profit from Today's Trends, and Trends 2000: How to Prepare for and Profit from the Changes of the 21st Century . He has recently written a new book, What Zizi Gave Honey boy .

Engineers can be helped by broadening their world view. Understanding the interconnections in trends across society and the world is essential to delivering relevant engineering products and services.
