The City of Glendora seeks a strong manager with a proven background as a leader to raise the bar in the Maintenance Services Division of our Public Works Department. This position oversees streets, traffic, storm drains, equipment, facilities and related operations including fleet maintenance. Recent local government experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a global understanding of Public Works, keep current on the latest trends, and have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to engage a diverse group of maintenance supervisors and staff. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Public Works/City Engineer and is a member of the department’s management team. The PW Maintenance and Operations Manager oversees approximately 13 staffers including two supervisors. Candidates should have previous public works maintenance experience including at least three years supervisory experience.
Specialized training in public works construction, engineering, or a closely related field, and five years of increasingly responsible construction and public works maintenance experience, including three years supervisory experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Public Administration or a related field is highly desirable.
