Woolpert, Inc. seeks a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our growing site development team in our Indianapolis, Indiana office.
The qualified candidate will be required to understand and apply standards and specifications to design and produce engineering drawings and documents for, primarily, land development projects. The selected candidate will be responsible to effectively communicate with internal as well as external team members (Permitting Agencies, Clients, etc.) when working on projects while assuring Quality Control standards are met. Work to be completed will include site layout, utility routing, sanitary/storm sewer design, stormwater management systems, roadways, grading/earthwork, erosion control and stormwater pollution prevention plans. Other essential duties and responsibilities may include permitting and coordination with FEMA, INDOT, DNR, County and local municipalities and preparation of cost estimates. Regular attendance at client meetings and site visits may be required.
Qualified candidates will have graduated from an accredited college or university with a BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, geomatics and/or land surveying, transportation or water resources and possess an Engineer Intern (EI), Surveyor Intern (SI) or the ability to obtain one within twelve (12) months. A qualified candidate must also be proficient in AutoCAD, be detail oriented, flexible, and possess strong communication skills. Experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling is preferred.
