Summary
Our client, a well-established TIER ONE automotive supplier, has established a new group to work on their most cutting edge technology, and is looking for Software Architect Engineer to join up. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the design effort on Passive Safety programs in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and for dictating design choices to software developers, including but not limited to: platforms, coding and technical levels.
Other Responsibilities include:
Understanding of customer requirements and effectively communicate them to the software team.
Working with 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers
Thorough in CAN Communications, CAN Diagnostics
Configuration management
Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems
Ability to follow organization’s SW product development process
Analyze customer requirements, create SW requirements specification, SW design document and integrate SW

Skill Required
BSCS Preferred, BSEE with strong programming background acceptable
Minimum 7 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive applications.
Experience in leading project teams and large designing efforts.
Highly Proficient with C and assembly programming
Strong RTOS design experience ands-on experience with Embedded Software development tools (compilers, linkers & debuggers).
Hands-on experience with design to prototype process such as requirements generation, design reviews, implementation and validation of design.
This Engineer possesses excellent software skills, a strong sense of Software Development Process activities, Project Leadership and character. This Engineer has advanced functional knowledge of modern electronic control circuits (discrete, power and custom ASIC) and a thorough knowledge of microprocessor/controllers.
Knowledge of GMLAN and FNOS CAN stack - DCNET and Vector CAN development tools
Knowledge of Autosar
