Application Electrical Engineer (Active Safety)- MI
Summary
Our client, is a well-established Tier one automotive supplier and has established a new group to work on their most cutting edge technology. They are in search of an Application Electrical Engineer to join their team. In this position, you will be responsible for developing test specifications for product assurance. You will also be designing and debugging the interface PCB boards. This is a stable, growing company that is offering significant future opportunities to break into new technologies. They are working with the latest and greatest innovations in the automotive field such as active safety, brake-by-wire, and automated driving.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure product compliance and final approval by connecting with EMC activities
Create requirements for system engineering level tools
Cooperate with other teams/companies in software tool development
Perform circuit simulation and worst case analysis(i.e..spice, MathCAD). Matlab will be a plus
Perform electrical development of bench testing and maintain system interface diagrams
Create and release ABS files along with troubleshooting at systems level
Collaborate with other teams in vehicle/PCB troubleshooting,and Hardware, Software and subsystem functional integration testing
Develop, maintain and release customer specifications and design reviews
Develop and maintain DFMEA and support B&A issues
Skill Required
BSEE with 2+ years of experience.
Knowledge of PCB capture software and PCB layout software such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner & Expedition.
Ability to solder SMD and modify HDI PCB board.
Knowledge of driving vehicles with newest active safety features, manual transmission and potentially right hand drive.
Knowledge of CAN protocol is required, Vector CAN will be a plus.
Solid communication skills, with the ability to work directly with OEM customers and suppliers.

Compensation: $75,000-95,000/year
