Signal International is an integrated company providing global services in the offshore, marine and naval industries. As a leading supplier of marine and fabrication services, the core business is new vessel contructions, heavy steel fabrication and the overhaul, repair and upgrade of offshore drilling rigs, ships and other vessels. Signal currently employs workers in its five production facilities in Alabama, Mississippi and Texas. Signal is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer II to work in our TX operation. The position will apply advanced Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis and decision tools to identify, promote and implement improvement in manufacturing, engineering and production support operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in process observation, data collection, time studies, line balancing, standards and capacity development with a minimum of 5 years applied field experience required. Must be well organized, detail oriented, and posses excellent communication and computer skills. A working knowledge and/or application of Lean manufacturing techniques and process flow analysis a plus.
Primary Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft programs
