Position Summary:
This position is responsible for design, development and support activities for the controls used to operate Bosch Packaging Technology, Inc. equipment.
Essential Functions:
1. Support all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery.
2. Responsible for the hardware and software execution/technical support for machine motion, PLC, PC and HMI.
3. Follows engineering release and revision control procedures; maintains design, standardization and configuration history of shipped machinery.
4. Use computer assisted engineering and design software to develop electrical diagrams, panel layouts, bills of material and related documentation.
5. Coordinate activities related to updating and improving software and machine functionality. Review and approve software for incorporation into product baselines. Ensure accurate incorporation of changes and completeness of documentation.
6. Understands and follows recognized codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, CE, UL, ETL).
7. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to assigned projects and customer orders.
8. Provide support to customers, customer service, training department and sales as required.
9. Support installation of equipment at customer sites.
10. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• BS in technical field, plus a minimum of 2 years experience developing code across multiple platforms
• Field experience supporting packaging equipment desired
• Experience developing code in C or C++ desired.
• Experience in Allen Bradley Logix family desired.
Competencies:
• Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures used in automated machinery
• Must have demonstrated organization skills, plus effective communication.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Salary: Between 60000 - 72000
Experience Required: Some Experience, 2 years minimum
