The University of Iowa Department of Physics and Astronomy is looking for an early career mechanical engineer capable in designing, building and testing mechanical systems for space flight instrumentation. The applicant must have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in mechanical engineering. The applicant shall be proficient in 3D CAD modelling, with a preference for experience using CREO. The applicant will be required to perform structural and thermal analysis of their mechanical designs, to verify and validate to the project standards and requirements.
