Managing Engineer HVAC
The New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) designs, builds and renovates public school buildings throughout all of the five (5) boroughs. We have excellent opportunities for talented and experienced HVAC Engineers to join the NYCSCA Team.
This position depending on the level is responsible for planning, implementation, managing and oversight of major, complex and varied HVAC designs and construction of school projects. Other responsibilities include; managing technical staff, assigning and scheduling staff for projects, guiding and oversight of interdisciplinary project teams, participating in the development of scope and design projects, project budget and schedule management, participating in day-to-day operations and resolving issues during design and construction, reviewing and writing reports, enforcing standards and rules, scheduling and chairing coordination and progress meetings, assist in the development of standards and procedural guidelines, ability to supervise assigned engineers, field staff and /or architects.
Requirements
All levels require a valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer plus;
Level A requires:
Seven (7) years of full time progressive experience as a Professional Engineer; three years must have been as a leader, project architect, or major project contributor
Level A salary range: $76,445 - $129,745
Level B requires:
Eight (8) years of full time progressive experience as Professional Engineer; four years must have been as a project leader, project engineer or major project contributor
Level B salary range: $85,558 - $145,209
Current New York State Professional Engineer license must be maintained for the duration of employment for all levels.
