HVAC Engineers and Structural Engineers
The New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) designs, builds and renovates public school buildings throughout all of the five (5) boroughs. We have excellent opportunities for talented and experienced HVAC and Structural Engineers to join the NYCSCA Team.
You will be responsible for performing work in a variety of assignments and technical roles, including; scope, design and design review of projects; monitoring the progress of the construction phase of projects; conducting site observations; ensuring compliance to codes/standards; performing and/or supervising the preparation of scope, pre-schematic, schematic, preliminary and construction documents including reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications, provides overall coordination for in-house design projects . May be required to sign, seal, and file engineering drawings; works with a wide range of technical, professional, managerial and support personnel as well as outside consultants, contractors, vendors, and various government agencies.
Requirements:
Level A requires: A valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer.
Salary range: $66,552.00 - $103,759.00 annually
Level B requires: A valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer and three years of full-time, paid post-licensure experience as a Professional Engineer; two years must be as a project engineer; project, team, or squad leader. Salary range: $75,463.00 - $117,599.00 annually
Level C requires: A valid New York State license as a Professional Engineer and six years of full-time, paid post-licensure experience as a Professional Engineer; three years must be as a project engineer; project, team, or squad leader. Salary range: $79,611.00 - $129,350.00 Annually
Current New York State Professional Engineer license must be maintained for the duration of employment for all levels.
