Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for engineering, scheduling, managing and performing product qualification for hydraulic components.
• Manage and oversee qualification test projects for a variety of hydraulic components (hose assemblies, fittings,
tube assembles, valves, etc)
• Principally responsible for project schedule, test accuracy and compliance with qualification test plans and in
accordance with industry standards (SAE, ISO, MIL-STD/MIL-PRF).
• Interact with customers and be responsible for presentation of test results and review of all customer provided test plans, statement of work (technical documentation and otherwise).
• Generates test plans, procedures, and work instructions from customer requirements
• Engineering management of design, operation, and maintenance of hydraulic test equipment and test stands
• Setup, configure, and operate test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation as required by test plans, test standards,
and customer instructions.
• Operate a variety of test equipment and test stands, including hydraulic pumps, electrical motors, servo valves,
actuators, test instrumentation (pressure transducers, flowmeters, thermocouples, strain gauges).
• Train and supervise test technicians to perform testing according to specific requirements
• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes
• Validate test methods
• Provide engineering input to sales team for evaluating feasibility of customer RFQ’s
Requirements (Special Knowledge, Education, Ability and Skills)
• BSEE in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of work experience in a relevant field/position
• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, hydraulic engineering, control theory, test instrumentation
• Demonstrated experience in hydraulic testing, including proof, burst, pressure impulse, rotary flexure.
• Successful history of hands-on project management
• Knowledge of industry standard testing standards, including SAE (AS603, ARP1383, AIR1228), ISO (6802,
6803, 8032)
• Knowledge of standard business software products (Excel, VBA, Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRM, etc.)
• Proficiency in Solidworks, AutoCAD, LabView and other design tools highly desirable
• Strong written and oral communication skill
