Woolpert is seeking a Civil Site Design Engineer to provide design and construction engineering in our Columbus, OH office.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills and technical experience in site civil engineering including:
• Collaboration with leadership and Project Managers to resource delivery effectively,
• Pro-actively troubleshoot and problem-solve with practical, client-focused solutions,
• Technical expertise in civil site design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management,
• Mass grading and geotechnical construction experience,
• Project permitting, and
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience:
• Candidates are required to have a minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering with at least 4 years of direct experience delivering civil site designs in the oil/gas market Experience demonstrating the ability to engage a team of junior and mid-level civil engineers,
• Mentoring junior and mid-level staff as direct reports,
• Periodic site visits are required during construction to address problems and develop solutions.
Education:
• Bachelors and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) is required for the state of OH. Ability to obtain PE in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD is a plus.
