MICROSOFT CORPORATION seeks a Senior Program Manager in Redmond, WA:
Coordinate program dev. of comp. softw. applications, sys. or
services, working with dev. and prod. planning teams. Write functional
specs and apply principles and tech. of comp. sci., eng., or math
analysis. Areas of resp. span the prod. life cycle and incl. owning or
contributing to the vision and strategy creation for the prod. or
service, designing all areas of the prod. or service, and managing
implementation to support the prod. or service release. Also resp. for
overall communication within the team, with other business groups, and
with customers and partners. Act as a leader within his or her softw.
feat. team based upon a deep understanding of a spec. tech. area or
demonstrated leadership in an eng. practice and in the Program Mgt.
discipline. Understand the overall prod. vision to align multi. feat.
areas or proj. priorities. Dev. metrics to measure and ensure customer
satisfaction. Remove obstacles and work towards consensus for multi.
feat. areas or proj. May be assigned to various proj. that utilize the
req. skills to deploy successful prod. or services releases, from
early prod. definition and scoping to detailed spec., implementation
and roll-out phases. 40 hrs/wk, M-F, 8am – 5pm. standard co. benefits.
Salary $144,000 to $164,000 yr. Req: Master's or for. equiv. degree in
Comp. Sci., Engg., Math., Info. Sys., Physics or a rel. field and 3
yrs software-related, centralized and coordinated program/project mgt.
exp., or exp. in designing, dev. and releasing softw. prod. or
services utilizing C, C++, C# or other high-level programming
language. Alternate educ. and exp. req: Bachelor's or for. equiv.
degree in Comp. Sci., Engg., Math., Info. Sys., Physics or a rel.
field and 5 yrs of prog., post-baccalaureate software-related,
centralized and coordinated program/project mgt. exp., or exp. in
designing, dev. and releasing softw. prod. or services utilizing C,
C++, C# or other high-level programming language. Pos. also reqs educ.
or exp. in: C#; SQL and/or T-SQL; Web Services; coordinating prog.
dev. of comp. softw. applications/systems/services from design through
product release; managing softw. or bus. processes for operations,
sys., proj., tools or policies; SDLC; and SQL Server. Exp. managing
teams in the deployment of successful product releases. Any suitable
combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
