Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity: Sr. Hardware Engineer (Sr. Mechanical Engineer). Design, implement & test computer HW products that add strategic value to the company. Evaluate business requirements & return on investment. Improve the design, development, & overall quality of HW products & development processes. Develop methodology for verification & debugging process. Anticipate & avoid blocking issues on own project. Proactively identify new tools, technologies, & methods. Understand the customer issues. Requires domestic & international travel up to 25%. Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, 40 hrs/wk. Number of Openings: One. Job Site: One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052. Min. Job Reqs: Education: Bachelor's or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics or related field of education. Experience: Seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience designing consumer electronics hardware. Education or experience in: Engineering Analysis; Tolerance Analysis; Design for Cost; CAD Modeling; Optical Glass Engineering; Top-Down Design; and Design for Water Resistance. No additional or special requirements. Offered wage: $175,800.00 to $190,000.00/yr. Standard corporate benefits.
