Role Purpose
Continuously monitor, analyze, and improve the methods by which polyurethane foam is manufactured.
Establish standard operating procedures to control the variable conditions involved in producing high quality foam.
Knowledge of polyurethane machine and raw material characteristics.
Determine the most efficient combination of material, process, and machine to produce high quality foam at lowest cost.
Coordinate activities with Production, Materials, Engineering, and Maintenance to meet objectives of lowest cost, high quality foam.
Conducts and/or assists with the evaluation of new materials or processes.
Support costing and sales team with product and process feasibility.

Qualifications:
Essential: Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
Experience:
2-5 years of experience as a process engineer or technician in a polyurethane foam manufacturing site
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience
Strong problem solving skills (e.g. 8D, Kepner-Tregoe, Pareto, etc.)
Intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Office
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing & quality standards
Primary Skills: Foam Engineer Experience

Experience Required: Experienced, 5 years minimum
