Woolpert is seeking a qualified individual to work from their established Orlando, Florida office. This person should have knowledge and experience with CAD systems. This position will prepare drawings from sketches, or other engineering data, including making revisions to construction and design drawings. The majority of work will support pipeline development (gas, oil, water, sewer, etc.) Knowledge in the 3D environment and GIS is a plus. We are looking for a self motivated person that is passionate about their work and career development.
•Woolpert is seeking various levels of experience:
oLevel 2: 0-2 years’ experience
oLevel 3: 2-5 years’ experience
oLevel 4: 5+ years’ experience
•May work in teams performing assigned tasks including work scheduling and reporting status updates to project manager.
•Using CAD, prepares drawings from sketches or other engineering data using Woolpert, and client, standards.
•Creates details from sketches provided by others.
•Makes revisions to construction drawings.
•Performs design calculations.
•Develops plan drawings for specific engineering applications (civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, etc.)
•Develops profiles and cross sections, indicating location of proposed topographic contours and existing topographic elevations.
•Prepares record drawings.
•Organizes and maintains drawings and records for duration of each project.
•Evaluates new hardware and software and resolves problems with existing programs and equipment.
•Calculates quantities for projects including excavations and fill requirements.
•Works closely with project managers and other technicians to complete project tasks.
•In addition to traditional CAD capabilities, it would be beneficial to have the following skills sets, but not mandatory:
oExperience working in 3D environment
oExperience with point clouds
oExperience using aerial imagery
oGIS experience
