Electronics Engineering Technician - MI
Description
Our client, a Tier One automotive supplier, is looking for an Electronics Engineering Technician to join their growing team and to support them in the field of electronic circuits, assemblies and Design Work Requests. In this role you will be responsible for construction, modification and verification of circuits and assemblies following the design work. You will be working with multiple teams on various assignments in the company. Job Responsibilities
Work on electronic circuits assemblies for modification, repair and verification.
Hand soldering of small scale electronic components such as fine pitch SMD & through hole devices
Build, install, and maintain custom wiring harnesses for test equipment and vehicle applications.
Build electrical break-out boxes and prototype electronic circuit boards
Develop and repair mounting hardware, brackets, & fixtures
Troubleshooting of vehicle and test equipment along with electrical and mechanical systems
Use test lab equipment and shop machinery for monitoring and testing activities
Review and analyze the issues in equipment testing and prepare the reports
Follow company policies related to AEA, APDS and Lab policies such as TS16949, ISO17025 etc.
Qualifications
Associates Degree in Electronics Technology, or equivalent electronics experience or post High School training in the field of electronics
4+ years of experience in the similar environment.
Experience with automotive safety and restraint systems and automotive accredited lab will be a plus
Working knowledge of automotive electronic components, products & assemblies
Experience with hand soldering small scale electronic components is MUST
Excellent in Building, troubleshooting / repairing and verifying the electronic products
Knowledge of development, construction, and use of test equipment is required
Past experience in power supplies, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc will be preferred
Knowledge of CAD / Schematic / Drawing applications will be a plus
