Hybrid Electric Motors Designer (18-month travel) - MI
Summary
Our client is a market leader in developing next generation vehicle technologies for powertrain, hybrid, stability controls, and other related systems. They’re currently looking for a Hybrid Electric Motors Designer to support them in design and validation of hybrid electric motor products. In this role you will be responsible for managing production launch activities of hybrid electric motor products. This position requires the candidate to travel Kentucky for training purpose about 6 months and then in Japan for about a year.
Job Responsibilities
Work with International team located in different countries for hybrid electric motor products production process
Develop and monitor the creation of component and assembly 3-D CAD models, along with related 2-D manufacturing drawings
Manage communication timely basis between customers, manufacturing sites and other international teams
Provide support to the internal Motor manufacturing sites for engineering tasks
Support the organization in the activities such as product pricing, quoting and cost investigation etc.
Prepare technical data and information documents
Provide support to Motor program objectives by travelling other various company sites
Qualifications
BSME/EE with 1+ years of experience.
Experience in 2D & 3-D CAD modeling programs
Should be ready for specific hybrid electric motor design engineering skills training in Kentucky for 6 months then in Hitachinaka, Japan area for at least 1 year, and then you will be shifted to Farmington Hills, MI
Experience as a design engineer or similar position in an automotive or industrial related company
Ability to explain technical documents, drawings and other related information to the customers
Experience using CAE software programs for performance simulation of materials, components or assemblies
