Power Electronics Engineer - MI
Our Client, a 7 Billion dollar GLOBAL player, is one of the premier power electronics developers in the world. They are in a growth mode in SE Michigan and are looking for an experienced Sr. Electrical Engineer to support their business with the OEM’s here in Detroit. You will be responsible for full product development starting with the requirements document thru development and production. One of your core functions will be maintaining relationships and resolving technical issues between the design group and the OEM’s. Requirements:
BSEE, MSEE or PhD or similar degree
6+ years of experience in design or applications
Hands on Power Electronic expertise is a MUST
HEV/PHEV/EV experience highly desirable
Expertise in automotive product development processes
Customer facing personality
Mandarin Language skills a PLUS
Responsibilities:
Work with the OEM’s RFI/RFQ to facilitate the creation systems requirements doc (SRD) and lead the full life cycle product development process with the offshore design team. With input on: the commercial impact; engineering assumptions and product demonstrations.
Product development leader/liaison/technical expert. Leading the design review with OEM customer and global design teams with automotive product design quality standards (DFMEA etc.) Facilitate and conduct product testing in local engineering lab. Support the vehicle integration process. Negotiate technical specifications. Provide expertise in field application issue resolution.
