Woolpert, Inc. seeks a talented and motivated Roadway/Civil Engineer to join our growing transportation team in Ohio at a phase manager (deputy project manager) level. If you are detail-oriented engineer with a strong work ethic and interest in complex design problems, then this is the job for you. Our transportation team is expanding and we are looking for individuals with prior experience consulting for public works projects that are familiar with state and local design practices. Our staff routinely works on projects from a variety of state, municipal, and private clients, and attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required. Daily responsibilities range from coordination on projects and assisting project managers, client communication and proposal writing, planning project development and resource use, detailed design, directing the work of less experienced engineers and drafters, computer aided drafting and design (CADD), and preparing cost estimates. The successful candidate will be charged with broad design tasks taken from initial concept and expected to solve problems and oversee the production efforts with minimal supervision. Ideal candidates will have experience in roadway and transportation design. Familiarity with ODOT, municipal, and urban specifications and requirements is highly preferred. Proficiency in MicroStation and GeoPAK and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D required. ABET Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required. Previous experience managing projects or portions of projects is preferred.
