This position will perform, and potentially lead, field staff for Woolpert's Energy Practice. Projects could include pipeline routing, mapping, locating marking and/or staking. The majority of time for this position will be in the field walking/hiking, and at times potentially carrying up to 40 pounds of equipment. Work in urban and rural areas
Uploading .kmz files in google earth
Desktop plan the best corridor for permanent and temporary pipelines
Work with project manager on best approach/scope for field service
Work with project manager communicating approach to team at kick-off meeting
Perform field walks and collections while working well with others
Lead where appropriate
Utilize GIS, mapping and/or survey equipment in the field
Download data to the computer and/or network
Report and document daily progress to project manager and team
