ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electrical Product Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager. The Electrical Product Engineer position will manage all the electronic components used in our gyro stabilizer products.
• Manage technical discussions with suppliers for quality, cost, performance, reliability and functional targets.
• Conduct, analyze and document tests to ensure electrical components meet design requirements.
• Support field service group with electrical expertise and troubleshooting guidance with a goal to develop solutions for recurring problems.
• Support production assembly team with process and automation improvements.
• Development of next generation electronics components.
• Manage electrical hardware components through Seakeeper’s engineering change process including updating drawings, specifications, work instructions and manuals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering required and 5+ years related experience. Hands on electrical troubleshooting aptitude and experience are required. Experience specifying, testing and releasing electrical components in a rugged, mobile product is preferred. Experience specifying, testing and releasing electrical components in a cost sensitive, commercial, production environment is also preferred along with experience with electric motors and drives. A desire to learn about other unrelated disciplines in the company is a plus. Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential. Must have strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally. Strong command of Microsoft Office products and interpersonal skills are required. Qualified applicant must be professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, well organized, detail oriented, and a team player with a positive work attitude. Must be able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, gather and analyze information skillfully.
