Please Touch Museum seeks a Building Engineer who is responsible for the daily operations, repair, replacement and maintenance of all building related mechanical, electrical, plumbing, control systems, air handling units, heat exchangers -Life Safety Systems and receives and responds to services calls, takes immediate action to
Responsibilities include but not limited to: perform regular preventive maintenance functions on the building HVAC system including, filter changing, adjust and or replace belts, grease, clean coils, etc. perform minor electrical tasks to include, bulb & ballast replacement; exercise the emergency generator, fire pump, and other life safety equipment to insure proper operation; complete routine operation and inspection of emergency generator & associated components and maintain testing log; maintain high pressure natural gas pump, domestic water pumps and boilers and maintain maintenance log; maintain building temperature in heating and cooling to a comfortable and efficient level; take readings and maintain records on all building systems, inspect mechanical electrical systems, trace electrical systems, trace electrical circuits, operate switchgears, record inspections and write reports for supervisors; troubleshoot any building mechanical problems and take corrective as needed e.g. electrical circuits, repair restroom fixtures, drains, repair minor carpentry tasks, replace ceiling tiles, repair and replace door hardware, locks, panic bar, etc. resolve emergency situations and system breakdowns.
Primary Skills: Minimum requirements: Current Class “A” building Engineer licensed required. Trade school certification strongly preferred; strong preference on OSHA safety training; minimum of 3 years’ experience with building systems; experience with Building EMS; HVAC
