Woolpert, Inc. seeks a field Engineering Technician for our Water Resources Discipline. This position is primarily responsible for performing advanced field data collection and troubleshooting for a variety of water-resource-related projects. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in stormwater sampling and water/sewer/stormwater system/outfall inventory.
Candidate must be highly motivated, possess strong organizational and time management skills and excel in a multi-discipline project team environment. The candidate must be capable of maintaining field equipment and company vehicles and report repair needs as necessary.
The candidate must be capable of performing field duties outside during rainfall events. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Candidate must be able to read, write and interpret reports, business correspondence and procedural documentation, and must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply them to practical situations. Knowledge of GIS principles and GIS-based data collection software, GPS data collection technology and Microsoft Office suite is preferred. Duties include field work, frequent local travel, overnight travel and overtime as needed. Candidate must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record, as required by our insurance company, and must successfully pass periodic drug testing as required by company policy.
