SUMMARY
Prepares mechanical/HVAC calculations and oversees production drawings for assigned projects in accordance with standards and department procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs field investigations & surveys;
• Assists in the preparation of cost estimates and analyzing material costs, quality and quantity;
• Assists in developing project standards and specifications;
• Prepares preliminary and final designs from field notes and data files;
• Performs mechanical calculations utilizing HVAC software packages; and
•Participates in in-depth study projects, working independently on technical engineering assignments and providing support to project engineer or architect.
• Ability to assist in marketing efforts.
• Mentor Junior Engineers
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required. New York State Professional Engineering License a must. Minimum ten years of experience in mechanical engineering design, calculations, and production drawing oversight also preferred. Must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with AutoCAD a plus. Must possess excellent technical and people skills, along with a positive attitude. Excellent references required.
