SUMMARY

Senior technical and position requiring technical education in electrical engineering, or closely related field and proficiency in planning, design and construction of non-visual navigational aids infrastructure, air traffic control communications systems and related facilities at commercial service and general aviation airports. Duties of the position include evaluation and technical oversight of: design and construction projects involving non-visual Navigation Aids, air tracffic control communications systems and related facilities; preparation of performance specifications for non-visual NAVAIDs, air traffic control communications systems, and related facilities, including: Localizer and Glideslope Antennae, Distance Measuring Equipment, Primary Survellience Radar, Secondary Survellience Radar, Voice Communications and Control Systems, and other related facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct Technical Staff Working on Design of NAVAIDs and Air Traffic Control (ATC) Communications Systems
• Review and/or Prepare NAVAIDs and/or ATC Communications Related Studies
• Review/Develop Design, Construction Packaging and Phasing Alternatives for
• NAVAIDs and/or ATC Communications Components of Aviation Development Projects
• Review/Develop Technical and/or Performance Specifications
• Interface with Clients regarding NAVAID and/or ATC Communication Systems components of Aviation Projects
• Periodic Domestic and International Travel Required

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Closely Related Field required. Licensure as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain preferred. Must have a minimum of 10 years of design and construction experience for non-visual NAVAIDs and/or ATC Commuicatinos Systems. International Airport Experience and Familiaritiy with ICAO Requrements are desirable.
