Electrical Engineer with background in building services and plant facilities design for higher education, institutional, healthcare, utility plant, and commercial and industrial clients. Technical responsibilities will include the design and layout of any / all of the following: building power distribution with medium and low voltage distribution boards, switchgear and motor control centers; computer modeling/analysis of electrical systems; telecommunication, fire detection and protection, security and alarm systems, lightning protection, convenience power, lighting systems, control systems, protective relaying design, design of schematic and wiring diagrams, preparation of specifications for equipment and systems, report preparation, determining code requirements, and performing and reviewing design computations.
Position will be responsible for some lead design efforts, with expectations of performing design duties with minimal supervision. Must be able to determine client requirements and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas as necessary, managing a design budget and schedule, and be able to demonstrate proficiency in these areas.
Primary Skills: Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office. Design experience with central plants and campus infrastructure a plus, but not required. Field assignments during construction and/or start up activities a plus, but also not required. Background requir
