Responsibilities
Operate in multifaceted roles of project management, mechanical design, and application engineering support to help enable the delivery of quality products and provide complete customer satisfaction.
Primary point of contact for customer from the time of order until shipment
Act as a mechanical design engineer working with the customer, other engineers, and designers as required to design and document custom features and options
Monitor project schedule dashboard and coordinate with operations team as needed
Deliver necessary assembly and checkout documentation to operations team for each system build
Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely scheduling of system installations
Perform system validation to ensure proper system operation with a focus on any special application requirements and/or custom features
Generate/manage documentation for delivery to the customer and archiving
On occasion, perform installation of systems, calibrations and other field service
Participate in quality assurance of test systems, including mechanical integrity tests and testing system performance
Serve as application engineering support for sales engineers as needed
Assist in the creation of customized proposals to prospects by providing design, costing, pricing and delivery information and by reviewing content
Perform feasibility tests for prospects and application-specific acceptance tests for customers
Perform system demonstrations as needed
Plan and conduct effective customer presentations as needed
Assist in the development and maintenance of sales and marketing tools and system manuals by providing application-specific technical input
Provide application-specific technical support to customers
Troubleshoot system problems or customer concerns

Education
BS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
Formal four to five year college program
Masters degree desirable
Travel
