Responsibilities:
Reads incoming orders to identify the components needed for production to fulfill orders along with assuring that customer orders are met. Ensures production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel. Tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary.
•Interpret and edit routine to complex distributor orders and identifies any errors
•Ability to make judgment calls when required to resolve problems or to make recommendations.
•Compiles needed documentation for Production and Shipping Departments noting any special handling, components or construction.
•Ability to read and understand cutting bills and load sheets.
•Assist all departments as necessary to drive out costs and improve quality and product offerings.
•Coordinate, route, and monitor the flow of standard to complex distributor orders between departments to meet scheduled commitments.
•Must be able to work with customers to resolve issues regarding pricing, availability, shipping / scheduling issues, order entry problems, and minor engineering issues.
•Maintain quality product design
•Support new product introduction
•Identify and area for improvement and implement cost reduction
•Keep target schedule for product release
•Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and ability to deal effectively in a team environment
Qualifications:
•BS in Mechanical Engineering degree or other applicable degree
•Minimum 2 years experience in design engineering application, preferably in manufacturing environment.
•Experience working with AutoCad, SolidWorks, and other applicable design software.
•Understanding of manufacturing processes
•2-3 years experience with project management.
•Functional ability to utilize and operate standard computer software
