We are currently looking for a Product Development Engineer in the Dispensers area.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Leads development of mechanical and electro-mechanical dispensers for paper, soap, and cutlery products from concept through commercialization. Collaborates with category business leadership to define the project scope. Manages external design, development, testing, and manufacturing suppliers to define and manage the dispenser development scope of work, to define dispenser safety, quality, performance, and cost requirements and validate that they are met, and to create and manage a detailed project schedule for engineering development, tooling, and product launch activities. Coordinates with the product development teams to ensure the products and dispensers work properly together. This position reports to the Director, Research and Development Dispensers and is located in Neenah, Wisconsin.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors or higher degree in engineering or science.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
5 or more years R&D experience developing mechanical or electro-mechanical products from concept to commercialization.
KNOWLEDGE - SKILLS - ABILITIES:
Ability to promote an effective team environment and work on cross-functional teams co-located in different locations.
Ability to define a project timeline and lead the cross-functional team in working to meet the timeline.
Experience with SolidWorks CAD development software.
Experience with part development using plastic and steel materials.
Experience with injection molding and metal stamping manufacturing processes.
Experience with FMEA, finite element analysis, kinematics, and other electronic risk assessment or design validation tools is preferred.
Available to travel up to 20%, including occasional international travel.
